Speaker Biography

Vesanto Melina, MS, Registered Dietitian is an internationally acclaimed speaker and co-author of 10 well loved books that have become classic on vegetarian nutrition, foods, and disease prevention. She did her under graduate and graduate work at the University of London, England and the University of Toronto.  She has taught nutrition at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and at Seattle’s Bastyr University. She is co-author of the joint position paper of the American Dietetic Association (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) and Dietitians of Canada: Vegetarian Diets. Vesanto is widely known in the press, and on TV and radio. She is based in Langley, near Vancouver, British Columbia.
