Dear GTI Friends, Happy New Year!
It took some time to gather some informations, but now it might be the right moment to build up our GTI!
It was really nice to receive all your very positive reactions on being on this board. We are still groaning a little I think..but of course there is a limit. I hope to arranger a board meeting in Denmark at the conference!
The conference is almost ready to start op the homepage, you will be notified about this next week.
As you all know Tim Jones in Saskatoon asked us about the conference next year, some of you answered, some did not. Please tell me if you think it is a good idea or not. So far we had our conference on a new continent every year. Last time was USA, this year Denmark, so Saskatoon is an offer that fits in here. Greece is working on an application to host the conference in 2014 on Crete, Greece. We can talk about this later, but let me know if you already have some though about this.
Enclosed I send two papers:
1- the paper I used as a powerpoint in Troy, slightly moderated. Please read it and send me your comments. I think this paper can be the base of our description of what GTI is, and can mean for all of us in the years to come.
2. In order to anable our organization to receiver donations, we have to be official. Therefore we have to make an association with statutes. An example can be the way to get on with this. I would like you all to read it, but maybe Amanda an Marge can be the contact person in that paper. Please look at the page where I come with suggestions about your speciality. It is just something I thought, and if you think different please let me know.
